| I thought this was a great buy orignially but two weeks after my son received it the mic shorted out and was cutting out. Because of the terrible return policy, I was unable to get a full refund because it was purchased well before christmas and we didnt have the box still. Needless to say we would have paid to have it shipped back and had to incure a restocking fee and it wasnt worth it to waste any more money on it. I will not purchase this way again!! | Overall, I like the headset very much. It works great. The biggest problem I have is that the pad opposite the earpiece is pretty hard. Maybe my head is too big, but it doesn't take long before it starts to hurt and I have to re-adjust the headset. |
Sound Quality is Awesome

The XBOX 360 Motorola X205 Gaming Headset Delivers Better Sound than the standard headsets that Microsoft provides with their console and at the relatively low price I found it for here on Amazon.com is definetley worth adding to your gaming setup.
That being said there are a few things that should be considered.
1. the headset has an unique cable that connects the headset to the controller adapter and search as I tried could not find a replacement for in case it became crimped or cut or lost.
2. prolonged use results in an uncomfortable pressure on the side of the users temple area even with the headsets expandable headband and padded earcup and side piece.
3. the controller connection tends to come loose frequently with little effort and will not work with the Microsoft Messenger kit.
4. If you are looking for a reasonably priced replacement headset with great sound then you cant go wrong with this one if you dont mind its few small design flaws. |

| Overall the headset just isnt good. It comes unconnected on its own frequently and not by me accidentally pulling it out. if the connected part turns slightly it just shuts off on its own. it is like having an old tv with an antenna and you have to move it and move it til you get the best picture, then you cant so much as breathe without screwing it up. i also find it to be fairly uncomfortable. It starts to hurt your ear after awhile. i would not advise anyone to purchase this headset. |

The volume is great. Loud enough to hear what I couldn't with the stock xbox headset. The motorola headset does crimp your head pretty tight after a couple hours of gameplay. The volume/mute control frequently falls out of the controller making you re-plug it back into the controller.
My biggest gripe about this product is that after four months of use, the headphone cable has been flexed around enough and the wires inside are not making contact, thus I am losing functionality if the wires are bending a certain way. This is not good. The wiring from the headset to the controller is very small gauge and cheap. It looks like I will have to ditch this headset because the weakest link (the wire) has broken. Too bad, because the headset itself isn't that bad. |
