Microphone is perfect and the detection is just right. Like the Xbox 360 wireless controller, this Mic can go pretty far without getting disconnected. Battery life is also a good thing. Highly reccommend IF you're looking for a second mic.

This is a great product have had no problems at all with it just put in my rechargeable batteries and press the power button and sing along with lips,Rock band,Guitar Hero I even purchased another one so I can compete with friends its pretty cool!!

Not a very good quality microphone. It seems to compress the voice and reduce enjoyment would recommend the rockband mic with built in controller. Microsoft should seriously look into the design and maybe partner up with an expert in the field such as Sure or AKG. Any way vent over and can I still send it back? Regards, Chris

I like this mic a lot but wish it had a better on/off switch. The only button it has is at the bottom and it's very easy to turn on but not as easy to turn off- I usually just take the batteries out instead. Other than this, it works very well and am glad to have purchased it.
